Hopeful!
Easter was fantastic! It was great spending time with family from both sides. While in SAT, we were able to spend a few hours driving aimlessly around half the city trying to spot "FOR RENT" signs from the corners. It's amazing how good we both got at spotting those signs from several blocks away. However, just reminded me how I really need go get my eyes checked... which haven't been checked since early 2008. I am pretty sure that 4 years of medical school and thousands of pages of text later, my eyes may have aged a tad....just a theory though. Anyway, back to the housing hunt, there were probably only 3 houses that we came across that appeared decent enough and in a good enough area that were worth calling about. Two of those were far outside of our price range. So, craigslist was basically a bust. Driving around was basically a bust. Luckily, a friend/coworker of my mom's texted with a nice (seemingly perfect from the outside) house that was just put on the market in her neighborhood. It is a great location and turns out, a great price too! We are supposed to go and see it on Friday, so let's hope this works out and that it's not covered in WOOD PANELING everywhere... or shag carpet....or mint green tile. Those are my fears... I'll keep you posted. Anyway, that's a brief update on the house hunt. Check back tomorrow for pics of new crochet projects and news of my first "orders"!
